Dullest street in Belfast

High Street Court, rather unworthy of its grand name. It leads to a gate that appears to be permanently closed. On the west side of the orifice is a rather pretty brick column. Perhaps this used to be a gateway? I have found some information through a website proposing a six-storey block to be built on the site. The website says:

Archive maps of the area show that it was originally a rectangular site with the road, High Street Court, running parallel and into a courtyard.

In 1974, Roads Service vested the land and re-routed High Street Court to allow for a pedestrian subway.
