Whenever the B&CDR line used to run from Queen's Quay through Newtownards and on to Donaghadee the express train took 22 minutes to complete the journey from Belfast to Ards and that was the "long way around" via Comber.

The "express" bus service these days takes 35 minutes straight up the dual-carriageway. Such is progress.
