Severin yoghurt maker

This machine failed on us some time ago and I finally sat down to disassemble it to see if I could fix it.

Apparently not.

Consider that we paid twently quid for this German-assembled device which I now know consisted of five parts ( plus three screws ), the fact that the heating element had burned-through and was starting to scorch the casing is somewhat disappointing.

Given that the idea behind a yoghurt maker is thet one leaves it running unattended for several days, it's actually terrifying.
