Tiniest Island

Just off the south-west point of Rough Island , Strangford Lough. Sufficient for wife and dog!

Rough Island was known in times long-lost as Slesny.

A team of archeologists from Harvard University visited the island in 1936 to investigate the traces left by the itinerant residents of antiquity. Some day I shall meander up to the QUB Library to read their findings in The proceedings and papers of the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland.
