Unfortunately I will never again be satisified with doughnuts from a shop. These were amazing and quite easy to make.
We made a sugar-and-egg dough in the bread machine and then
we Mrs B rolled-out half the dough and made eight balls, which rose gently when placed in the Sun shine for an hour.
Then popped them into oil at 160 Celsius for three minutes each.
They were fluffy and light, completely unlike the dense chewy doughnuts bought off the shelf. And we still have half the dough in the freezer for next week...
