Decca Debonaire Radio

In the window of one of the seemingly derelict houses along Court Street, Newtownards. Background is a particularly grubby curtain that looks as if it is been hanging untouched the 1960s.

Looks like a particularly Sun-beaten TP44 model; the large circular extrusion with the knurled circumference was originally transparent and provided a view of the tuning needle and frequency bands. One can just about discern the graduations and the needle itself ( running from north-west to south-east )

"Decca Debonaire TRANSISTOR".

As I was taking these pictures a man emerged from the doorway of the also-seemingly-derelict house next door and we alarmed each other. He did not speak. I continued photographing.
