Not the most inspiring view ever committed to digital film, but inspired by a panorama shot sent to me by Mr Cheese I tried to reverse-engineer how the "sweep panorama" mode of phones and compact cameras works.
I set the S95 to medium-quality JPEG, without RAW, for sustained shooting and in shutter-priority mode set 1/100 seconds. Holding the button I then took a sequence of nine autofocused frames in three seconds as I swept along the length of Red Row.
Dumped that lot into Hugin and let it define some control points and it spat-out the panorama shown.
Looking-forward to trying this with the 5D that can do a 120-frame JPEG burst... or 17 RAWs.
